Saducismus Triumphatus: “…in the shape of a Rat”

In his book, "Saducismus Triumphatus" (1681), Joseph Glanvill includes the trial account of Elizabeth Style, of Bayford, Stoke Trister, Somerset. She confessed, among other things, to meeting with the Devil in the woods. Sometimes he would appear in the shape of a rat.
